1. Title of question: Compare – Compare and contrast several attentional processes included in our reading. Which did you find the most interesting and why?
2. Title of question: Earring – You notice that your younger sister is going to school wearing one earring, so you tell her she forgot the other one. She promptly tells you that this is in fashion now and walks out the door. How could you rationalize this trendy behavior using an explanation based on the Von Restorff effect?
3. Title of question: Attention– Discuss using examples the properties of attention and sensory storage from our reading. Which are the most important parts of attention needed for sensory storage?
4. Title of question: Color – According to the Stroop effect, which would take longer to say: the color that a word is written in if it were different from the word (the word green written in blue marker) or the same color as the word (the word green written in green)?
